Midday Supervisor Standards

These free Midday Supervisor Standards define expectations for lunchtime and breaktime staff, focusing on pupil safety, wellbeing, teamwork, and the quality of the dining and play environment. They outline progression from developing to advanced practice—ranging from basic supervision and behaviour management to leading a safe, inclusive, and engaging lunchtime culture across the school.

Schools can use these standards as a standalone paper-based tool, or integrate them into our Flourish Staff Appraisal and Development software to record and analyse staff and peer reviews along with objectives and meetings related to professional development.
